The HTPAA Australian Collection has tools by a large number of Australian Manufacturers. The Collection has been assembled largely by donation with some careful purchases of selected items. The Association thanks all donors who have helped to build the collection.

This webpage is a showcase of Australian made wrenches, spanners, multi grips, adjustable wrenches, socket, pliers and implement spanners.

Connolly - Southern Cross- (Sydney) thought to be supplied by Southerncross Windmills

3/16W and 1/4W, about 3.5 inches long

Foy & Gibson were a department store in Melbourne. This is probably a bedstead spanner (Image J Hawking)
Moffat Virtue, this wrench was supplied with Cream separators. Moffat Virtue made Shearing Machinery, Stationary Engiines, Milking Machinery etc. (Image Gerry Scells).
This is thought to be from the MYER Emporium in Melbourne - probably a bedstead spanner (image J Hawking)

Sliden Products of Sydney - Who were they? - Sliden made sliding door furniture (rollers & hangers)
Samson - thought to be by the Spray Equipment makers by that name. Any further information welcomed. (uncommon in Melbourne)
Comparison of the common Pope with the Samson - note the strong resemblance.
