conference audienceEach year the HTPAA hosts the Tools and Trades Day, a day devoted to hand tools and the work they performed in various bygone trades.

This year's event is on Saturday 9th November 2019 and will feature eight speakers discussing the history of and also demonstrating their tools across a variety of trades including:

  • Silversmithing
  • Watchmaking
  • Bookbinding and Art Conservation
  • Early Dental tools
  • Coachbuilding
  • Victorian Plastering
  • Wheelwrighting, and
  • Musical Instrument making

Where and When:

The venue is St Anthony’s Parish Hall complex on the corner of Neerim and Grange Roads, (168 Neerim Road) Caufield East, Victoria (see map here).

Registration opens at 9.30 am for a 10.00 am start. Afternoon/morning teas and lunch are included. Parking is available in the Church grounds opposite and in the adjacent streets.

Cost and Payment:

The cost for the day is $75 for HTPAA members and $85 for non-members. Note: only $65 members and $75 for  non-members if booked before 9th of September.
